What is culvert & catch basin cleanouts?
Catch basins, curb inlets, culverts, and storm drains all collect sediment over time. Once they fill, water backs up into parking lots, roads, and yards. A vacuum truck pulls the sand, silt, leaves, and trash out of the structure and into the debris tank, restoring flow without digging anything up.
We clean structures for property managers, homeowner associations, commercial sites, contractors closing out a project, and public works crews who need extra capacity before or after storm season.
When you need it
- Parking lot inlets that pond after rain
- Culverts under driveways and roads filled with sand and debris
- Catch basins ahead of a property inspection or sale
- Construction closeout, when sediment from the job must be removed
- Preparing drainage before hurricane season
- Cleanup after a storm has washed sand into the system
How we do it
Inspect the structure
We open the inlet or check the culvert ends and gauge how full it is and what is in it.
Vacuum the material
Sediment, water, and debris are pulled out through the hose, with water jetting used to break up packed material.
Check the flow
We confirm the structure and pipe are clear and draining.
Haul it away
The material leaves in the debris tank for disposal.
Tampa Bay conditions
Fine Florida sand washes into storm systems constantly, and the rainy season from June through September tests every inlet in the region. Cleaning structures before the wettest months, and again after major storms, keeps small backups from becoming flooding problems.
What to include in your quote request
The more of this you can share, the faster and more accurate your quote will be:
- Number and type of structures: inlets, catch basins, culverts, or manholes
- Approximate depth and how full each structure is
- Pipe diameter and length for culverts
- Site access and traffic considerations
Culvert & Catch Basin Cleanouts FAQ
How often should catch basins be cleaned?
It depends on the site, but many properties benefit from at least one cleaning a year, ideally before the summer rainy season, plus checks after major storms.
Can you clean a culvert without digging it up?
Usually, yes. The vacuum and water jetting work from the ends of the culvert to remove sediment and debris.
Do you work for HOAs and property managers?
Yes. Multi structure cleanouts for communities, shopping centers, and commercial properties are common jobs.
